The quarantine of the weekend has already turned into a meme, and the masks have almost become a second skin. However, the National Police continues to report numerous reports of violations of quarantine restrictions.
On November 21, fines for staying in public places or transport without personal protective equipment came into force. Thus, citizens who ignore the remarks of a police officer to wear a mask so that it covers the mouth and nose, can be fined from 170 to 250 UAH.
A resolution is drawn up on such offenses, which is sent not to the court, but to the executive committees (executive bodies that exercise their powers) of village, settlement, and city councils. Such a decision can be appealed in court within 10 days.
However, this innovation does not eliminate huge fines for officials and businesses in case of violations of quarantine restrictions in enterprises.
If you are visited by an inspection and seem to have found any violations, follow the simple rules:
1. Be polite and calm.
2. Check the documents with the supervisors. Representatives of the police, health care bodies, state sanitary and epidemiological service bodies, as well as officials authorized by the executive committees may draw up reports on such offenses (and in settlements where executive committees have not been established, by executive bodies, performing their powers) of village, settlement, city councils.
3. Do not sign a protocol with which you do not agree. You should indicate your point of view in the minutes below. It is very difficult to appeal the protocol with which you agreed “on the spot”.
4. If you do not understand all the circumstances of your prosecution, you may not sign the protocol.
Remember, drawing up a report does not necessarily mean imposing a fine. Whether you are guilty or not can only be decided by a court. So far, in only ~ 8% of cases the court has confirmed the legality of the fine. This does not mean that you should neglect training and rely on luck. Before going to court, we advise you to take care of your health and nerves and consult a qualified lawyer.
